What is Jobhop?

Jobhop is a place where you can hang out with great employers and where employers can hang out with people like you. Companies can showcase what makes them special and the preferred company to work for, whilst jobseekers can connect to decision makers. Jobseekers can also plot their career paths by following the journey of other hoppers.

Who is Jobhop for?

For people who want to climb the career ladder fast, who want to work for dynamic, culture led organisations. Jobhop attracts companies that embrace change, who are collaborative, and innovative. These companies tend to look for digitally connected, ambitious, authentic individuals who have vision.

Do you advertise jobs?

No we are not a Job board, however each company can advertise their own jobs.

How do I contact a company?

A company may list their contact details within their summary on their company page. If the company has listed jobs they may also include their contact details. The first step would be to follow the company.

Can I still join Jobhop if I am not looking for a job?

Absolutely. Everyone is a potential candidate even if you are currently working. It is advisable to showcase your profile and connect with other members (hoppers) and companies because you never know where opportunity hides.

Why do I need to create a hopper profile before creating a company page?

Because people emotionally connect with people, it is always good when you can talk to a person and not just a company logo. We want you to showcase your company but we also want to meet you too.

Is there a charge?

All hoppers can use Jobhop FOC

Do I have to write a blog post ?

No you can skip this step. If you have something to shout about though we would advise you to use the blog facility, it is another way to attract great employers looking for someone like you.

What happens if I'm offered an interview or a job?

All engagement is between yourself and the company.

For companies

Why do I need to create a hopper profile before creating a company page?

Because people emotionally connect with people, it is always good when you can talk to a person and not just a company logo. We want you to showcase your company but we also want to meet you too.

Can I add other administrators to the company page?

Currently we are in beta and we have only created the free company profiles. Free profiles do not allow for additional administrators. We are working on the next phase which will allow companies to upgrade to receive extra benefits.

Why should I create a company page?

If you own or work at a company which is worth showcasing then it is an ideal opportunity to attract talented candidates. A typical Jobhop user is connected, ambitious, innovative and digitally intelligent, this is the type of person dynamic forward thinking companies need to propel themselves into the future.

Can any company create a company page?

In theory, yes. However if the team at Jobhop think your company is not magnetic enough we will give you some pointers. When you create a company page you should do so with one question in mind, and that is "Why would anyone want to work here?"
> Absolutely not. Any company just using their company page as a job board will be given some pointers and training from the Jobhop team.

Can we display jobs on the company page?

Yes you can, you are given a section to do so. The job section is not just for current jobs, it is also to let potential candidates know about what you might be recruiting for in the future. Jobhop wants companies to get out of the mindset of job pushing, we want to change it to attracting and sourcing great candidates for now and in the future.

How do I build a talent community?

We are currently working on this phase and it will be rolled out soon

Is there a charge?

Jobhop is currently in Beta and everything is F.O.C The company page you create now is the free version and this will always stay with you unless you delete your account. We are currently working on the next phase where you can upgrade your company page if you wish to do so at a small cost.

What happens if you would like to interview someone or offer them a job?

Does Jobhop take an agency fee?

No we are not an agency, we do not take any agency fee.
