While performing Arlo setup users might face sync issues if the Arlo fails to sync with the Base station. Thus, the base station will not able to locate until the Arlo synced well. If you are unable to sync your Arlo camera, then here is the compiled list of steps to fix it.

In order to ensure the proper Arlo setup functioning, you need to sync camera to its base station. But sometimes, Arlo camera won't sync with base station. There could be several reasons that have been discussed in the article along with the solutions. So, without wasting much time on long talks, let us begin with the troubleshooting process.

  1. You might experience syncing issues if the Arlo camera is placed not within the range of its base station. So, in order to prevent sync issue users must have to ensure that the Arlo is placed within the range of its base station. Try to place it in minimum range of 3 feet from the base station.

  1. The user must ensure that the sync button is pressed on the appropriate time during the setup process. Somehow, if the sync button is not pressed on time, then it can lead to sync error and you have to reset Arlo Camera.


    Steps for Arlo Camera Sync Process

  1. In case you are using the Arlo base station, then you should press the sync button after two seconds. The sync button present on the side. Do not keep holding the sync button for a long time, otherwise the LED below the USB label will start to blink rapidly. In this condition, you have to wait near about 15 minutes, and then retry the sync process.

  2. If a user try to sync Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station then the user have to press the sync button for about two seconds.  The sync button is present at the top of the Arlo Pro base station top surface.

  3. After hitting the sync button, wait and watch till the LED light turns into solid green on the base station.

  4. Once the base station LED blinks green, press the sync button present on your Arlo security camera.

  5. You will notice that the Arlo camera LED has started to emit blue color. The blue blinking of LED confirms that the camera has successfully synced to the base station.

    Arlo Base Station Offline. Why?

Many times the camera indicates the battery low error which leads to sync error. So to avoid sync error you should check the status of the battery. Low battery can cause Arlo base station offline. The battery level can be easily checked by looking at the battery icon color. You can consider the following steps to verify the battery status of your Arlo camera.

  1. Visit Arlo login my account web page or Arlo app.

  2. Enter the Arlo camera login credentials, and then hit on the ‘Log In’ button.

  3. Click on the ‘Menu’ option.

  4. Under the ‘Menu’ option you will find the ‘Device Settings’ option.

  5. The device settings option will show up the current battery status of your Arlo camera and the base station. If the battery icon looks orange in color then it means your Arlo security camera’s battery level is running low. Else, the battery is working fine and you can continue the Arlo camera sync process.
