BIM usually has the following characteristics:
(1 ) Completeness of model information
In addition to describing 3D geometric information and topological relationships of engineering objects, it also includes complete descriptions of engineering information such as object names, structure types, building materials, specifications, and other design information; construction procedures, schedules, costs, quality. as well as labor and equipment; Construction information such as material resources; maintenance information such as safety specifications and material durability; engineering logical relationships between objects, etc.
(2 ) Relevance of model information
Objects in the information model are identifiable and interrelated. The system can perform statistics and analysis of model information, and generate corresponding graphics and documents. If an object in the model changes, all associated objects will be updated accordingly to maintain the integrity and reliability of the model.
(3 ) Consistency of model information
Model information is consistent across different stages of the building life cycle, the same information does not need to be re-entered, and the information model can automatically evolve. Model objects can be easily modified and extended at different stages without re-creation, avoiding the error of conflicting information.
