The essay help experts believe that the students often give all their emphasis on writing the contents of the essay and forget about making the cover page presentable. Although the cover page does not hold any marks, it does put the first impression on the reader. It is the first thing of your essay which will be visible to the reader. A cover page consists of the basic information about the author and the essay itself.

The design and presentation of the cover page may vary according to the referencing style you have chosen. In some cases, like in the MLA style of referencing, it is not even essential to prepare a cover page. But if you are still asked to add a cover page, then there are few general rules that apply to all the essays. To know these rules, students often ask for essay help when it comes to making a presentable cover page for the essay.

Let us have a look at some tips using which you can design an impressive cover page.

1.  The title – Leave one-third page from the top and then start writing the title. It should be aligned to the center. The first letter of each word of the title should be capitalized except articles and prepositions. But if they are the first words of the title then, they should also be capitalized. There is no need to add punctuations until the title itself demands.

2.  Include other details after the title – Leave 2-3 lines after the title and then add your first name and last name. After that, again, leave 2-3 lines and include course details and your class and section. The professor’s name should appear next, along with the appropriate title before his name. Then the date should come in preferable European style. All this information should be center-aligned.

3.  Font – The font should be the same throughout the essay, including the title page. Usually, it is recommended to use Times New Roman with size 12. But it may vary depending upon the particular requirements of your professor. Make sure that the font is easy to read and understand.

4.  No spelling mistakes – Cross-check your cover page to ensure that you have not made any spelling mistakes in any part of the cover page. Any mistake on the cover page itself will leave a bad impression on the reader, and it may negatively impact your grades.

5.  Header and page number – As in your essay itself, the cover page should also contain the same header. The page numbering should also start with the cover page itself. You must follow the same referencing guidelines which you have used in your essay for your cover page also.

6. Stick to one format – You must always stick to one format throughout your essay writing. It may be APA, MLA, or the one suggested by your professor. The same format should apply from the cover page till the end.

Following the above tips will be greatly helpful for you in creating an impressive cover page for your essay. A cover page plays an important role in scoring good grades.
