Different people keep seashells for different reasons. The fact that they are collected after a long time of shelling is one of the reasons. Some people like to preserve the memory of a lovely day. So they collect seashells on that day to preserve memory. Others collect them because they are a rare beauty and they believe to bring good luck.

Junonia Shells

Junonia shells are one of the hardest shells to come by in Florida. But when you look at the right place you will find the rare gem. The Junonia shell is an off-white, oblong gastropod shell. It comes with brown spots that seem like watercolor paint. They are quite small and houses yellow, spotted snail which lives deep on the ocean’s floor.
 
Jingle Shells

You can easily spot a jingle shell from its translucent that looks like paper. As the name connotes, the shells give a jingle sound when you shake them. They come in different colors. They are also known as the Mermaid's toes because of the way they look. Jingle shells have a wrinkled texture and a pleasant polished sheen.

Sand Dollar Shells

The next seashell is quite distinctive. Sand dollar shells have a thin, circular, and flat shape. There is also a five-pointed star shape on the top. When it is exposed to the sun, it becomes bleached. Consequently, it transforms into a pristine white color.

Conch Shells

These shells come in medium to large sizes. Conch shells are stunning and can be hard to come by. It can be distinguished by two qualities. First off, a lot of sea snails consider the shell their Inhabitat. Apart from that, they are difficult to identify with qualities such as color.  

Murex Shell

The Murex is also a disguised shell. Its exterior is white and pink. Florida used the shells because of their tail, spikes, and nice pink exterior. They are regarded as gastropod shells that have unique shapes. Here is something you don’t know about Murex shell. They house Murex snails that are also referred to as rock snails.

Lightning Whelk Shells

The last shells on the list are pretty much synonymous with Texas. But it can be found washing up on some of Florida’s beaches. Lightning whelk shells are gastropod shells that are quite large. They come in different colors such as gray, yellow, tan, white, or tan. It has a left=hand tail.
