- First get all your on line profiles looking professional and use keywords that will attract employers to you

- Establish yourself online ..If someone is going to employ you to propel their business using social media then they’re going to expect you to be a bit of an online star
- Specialise in one or two types of social media
- Specialise in a particular industry
- Get feedly or flipboard on your smart phone and stay up to date on all the social media news and changes
- Share thought leaders content
- Get active in social media groups and become a thought leader yourself
- Be brave and start up your own group
- Find a small business who does very little social media marketing or none, offer your services for free and make them your project. You now have a case study to show future employers.
- Get accredited by Hoot suite at the Hootsuite university
- Get some social media training from sites like Alison.com or Udemy, many of the courses are free
- Watch the many videos available on youtube about social media strategies for businesses
