Growing your own cannabis can be one of the most rewarding experiences for any enthusiast. It’s not just about the final product—it’s about the journey, the learning, and the connection you build with the plant. In this post, I want to share my personal grow journal of Blue Dream, a strain that has earned a legendary status among both recreational and medicinal users.

I started my Blue Dream grow with seeds I got from https://thebluedreamseeds.com. I had heard good things about their genetics and wanted to give them a try. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell these seeds were high quality—dark, firm, and with that slight sheen that experienced growers look for.

Germination went smoothly. I used the paper towel method, and within 48 hours, all five seeds had popped. I transferred them into small starter pots with a light soil mix and kept them under a gentle LED light. The seedlings were strong and healthy from the start, with thick stems and vibrant green leaves.

As the plants entered the vegetative stage, I moved them into larger containers and began a regular feeding schedule. Blue Dream is known for being a vigorous grower, and mine were no exception. They responded well to training techniques like topping and low-stress training, which helped create a nice even canopy. I kept the environment stable—around 75°F with 50-60% humidity—and made sure they got plenty of airflow.

Flowering was where Blue Dream really began to shine. About two weeks after switching to a 12/12 light cycle, I saw the first signs of budding. The flowers developed quickly, with a sweet berry aroma that filled the grow room. I kept a close eye on nutrients during this stage, dialing back the nitrogen and increasing phosphorus and potassium to support bud development.

By week eight of flowering, the buds were dense, frosty, and full of that signature Blue Dream scent—fruity, slightly earthy, and unmistakably sweet. I harvested at week nine, after checking the trichomes with a loupe and seeing a nice mix of cloudy and amber heads.

Drying and curing took about three weeks in total. I hung the branches in a dark, cool room with good airflow, then transferred the buds to glass jars for curing. I opened the jars daily for the first week to let moisture escape and prevent mold. The final product was smooth, flavorful, and potent—everything I hoped Blue Dream would be.

Looking back, this grow was a great experience. Blue Dream lived up to its reputation as a reliable, high-yielding strain with excellent effects. It’s uplifting without being overwhelming, making it perfect for daytime use or creative projects. If you’re considering growing Blue Dream yourself, I highly recommend it—especially if you’re looking for a strain that’s both forgiving and rewarding.

This grow journal is just one story, but I hope it helps others who are thinking about starting their own Blue Dream journey. Whether you’re a first-time grower or a seasoned pro, there’s always something new to learn—and this strain is a great teacher.
