So the next time you’re at work and you fancy popping out for something a bit different for breakfast, brunch or lunch, you may want to consider stopping by one of these popular places in Shoreditch for a delicious meal.

The Breakfast Club

Ask anyone in London about breakfast or brunch and where to be able to actually enjoy the bliss of eggs, muesli and alike all day long, one of the first names that spring to mind is ‘The Breakfast Club. Known by tourists as well as locals it always offers a space to chill out and enjoy some very tasty food.


Poppies Fish & Chips

Looking for the best place to eat in Shoreditch offering the best fish and chips in town? Here you can find locally sourced fish and chips with mushy peas in this retro diner inspired restaurant. Pat ‘Pops’ Newland has been serving authentic British fish and chips in London since 1945, and from this he has created a restaurant serving one of Britain’s best-loved dishes in a friendly setting, surrounded by authentic 1940s/50s memorabilia curated by Pops himself.


Beigel Bake

Walk down Brick Lane and you won’t miss Beigel Bake, a Jewish-style shop that serves bagels 24 hours a day, perfect for stopping by for breakfast or for a quick fix on a short lunch break. The menu includes classic items like bagels filled with salmon and cream cheese or hot salt beef bagels with mustard, you can also pick up one of their delicious freshly made pastries. Beigel Bake is the closest that London gets to a New York bagel.

The Cereal Killer Café is the world’s first international cereal café. They sell over 100 different types of cereal from around the world. You can choose from 30 different varieties of milk and 20 different toppings. You can visit them for breakfast, lunch or dinner to give you the real sugar rush feeling you had when you were a kid.

This cool café is famous for their brilliant brunches and their stylish cocktails. American-style pancakes, pesto scrambled eggs and a full English breakfast will be more than enough to kick-start your day. But breakfast isn’t the only thing that The Book Club is good at, their bar food offers light bites –and not so light – bites to snack on throughout the day.


Hotbox

Hotbox is a restaurant bar and grill and is known as the ultimate brunch destination. It serves a variety of dishes such as chicken Belgian waffles, skillet smoked meat hash and a brunch burger. It is the described as the perfect place for a delicious, late breakfast.


Lantana

It’s often known that the smallest cafes have the best food and Lantana is a perfect example of this, serving an Australian-inspired breakfast and lunch. The restaurant also provides an all day brunch and has a takeaway option.


Hoi Polloi

Hidden in the streets of Shoreditch, Hoi Polloi is the place to be for its ambience, character and of course its food. This place is the best spot for all things organic and natural and is a true reflection of Shoreditch and its characteristics. With their menu offering breakfast, lunch, brunch, afternoon tea and dinner, there is sure to be something for everyone.


Friends of Ours

Friends Of Ours is a laid-back Aussie-style cafe that should definitely be on your brunch bucket list. They provide a creative brunch cuisine and speciality coffee. Their menu changes with the seasons and is based on café food experiences had in Australia, New Zealand and of course, the UK. Working with local suppliers, they create fresh food for their customers and make each dish enjoyable. Why not treat yourself to the buttermilk fried chicken with roasted potato waffles or sweet potato and courgette rosti with poached eggs, crispy smoked bacon and avocado.


Embassy East

Embassy East is a simple café with a chalkboard menu offering a small selection of home cooked food and treats served among your standard coffee shop beverages. Their healthy and delicious brunch options will be sure to fill you up without all the usual guilt that comes with most brunches.
