You’ve heard about the office Christmas party that probably should’ve finished by 9 PM; you might’ve even been to a few of them in your time.

Usually, a Christmas party at the office would be held during the day with limited alcohol and a few nibbles; it would only be the brave or the mad who would hold a Christmas office party in the evening. The most common approach is to have the office Christmas party off-site, usually at a restaurant. If everyone or just some employees then want to continue the night elsewhere afterwards, that would be a choice for them to take.
Don’t let the film put you off holding an office Christmas party because with good organisation and with some guidelines Christmas parties can be a positive, team building event. It’s always good to celebrate what you can, and Christmas should be celebrated, if you don’t you could be labelled a humbug, and you don’t want that, do you!
