Employee appreciation day should be a day of celebrations for employees everywhere!
Friday the 3rd of March all employees should be getting hugs and cakes from their employers in appreciation for everything they do. As an employer, you might be thinking that you appreciate your employees every day and if that’s the case then great. The sad truth is that still many employees are treated unfairly and are not being appreciated. The aim of Employee Appreciation Day is to create awareness, and employees deserve to be looked after, it also creates awareness for employees themselves, they might realise that they should be working for a better employer. The hope is that what starts off as just one day will continue every day throughout the year and it becomes natural to appreciate employees.
Employees spend on average 35% of their total awake hours over a 50 year working life at work they should be rewarded for that!

Cakes
Always a great sign of appreciation, a tray of cakes to say thank you.
Certificates
Get everyone a certificate of appreciation and even go as far as framing them.
Party
It’s ok it doesn’t have to be big, just a lunchtime celebration with sandwiches, crisps, ginger beer and party hats.
Super-Hero
Let everyone come to work dressed as their favourite superhero for the day
Cards

Trading Places
It’s always good for the boss to go back to the shop floor, a good day to do it is on Employee Appreciation Day. Trade places with one of your employees, perhaps you can manage reception for the day while they are you for a while.
When employees feel appreciated they’re happier, and that boosts productivity, it makes business sense to appreciate your employees.
Remember employees who are working remotely or are on the road, don’t leave them out!
