Marketing careers are changing rapidly with technological advancement.

Ten years ago, Digital Marketing was performed either by a single person or a group. Nowadays, we have myriads of groups, each specialising in particular areas of digital marketing. There are developers, content writers, designers, coders, project managers, etc.

Needless to say, most of these jobs haven't been about for many years, and students who are at school today will be doing jobs that don't even exist yet.

Let's have a look at a few marketing jobs that are new on the scene or are in the pipeline for the future.

What careers in marketing will there be in the future?

AR Manager

Augmented reality is slowly taking over our lives. After the Pokémon GO craze, there is news of Facebook introducing AR as standard in the near future. This means that the marketing will follow and companies will need someone who is going to present them in the AR.

Of course, that someone will need to know every aspect of it – AR design, storytelling, coding, etc. It will definitely not be an easy job. However, it will be a fun one, for sure.

Artificial Intelligence Developer

AI is another aspect of technology which is present on the web. We are always dealing with automatic responses and automatised forms for buying.

This means that salespeople will become a thing of the past and bots will take over. Of course, bots are going to be upgraded regularly to suit the customer’s needs. It will take a real master to develop that kind of artificial intelligence.

Remote Supervisor

There are already millions of jobs, especially in marketing and IT, which are performed remotely. The statistics state that this number will rise and a need for a remote supervisor will occur. There will be more sophisticated methods of supervision and marketing teams have no distance problems with a good supervisor.

Chief Data Analyst

Data is accumulating swiftly, and one person will not be able to analyse and process everything. Although there are already teams working in this field, the position of a Chief Data Analyst is likely to be invented in the near future. This person will focus mostly on the marketing part of analysis. They will review everything and plan the future steps according to the huge amount of data that had been analysed.

UI Director

User Experience already plays an important role on websites, applications and other platforms used in marketing. However, the spectrum of platforms (or channels) is going to become wider in the future. UI (User Interface) will achieve a new level when all of our devices become connected to the internet. UI director will have to find new ways to get the leads.

The future of marketing is bright. Imagine being hungry and finding nothing in your fridge. Suddenly, a hologram starts, and you get to see an ad right inside of your fridge. After the ad, all you have to do is use voice command, and a bot will deliver the food right away.

Sounds amazing? Read this article in 10 years when it's completely normal and laugh at how behind we were!
