Have you ever dreamed of having a cool job that pays you to travel?

Well, who doesn't? Unfortunately, we can't have the best of both worlds. Most of us think that we need to earn a fortune and quit our jobs before we can embark on our globetrotting journey. But the truth is, you don't have to escape the workforce, or even drain your savings, to spend your days exploring the world. With commitment and the correct set of skills, you can put yourself on a rewarding career path that allows you to frequently visit different places, as part of your work requirements.

There are a number of employment opportunities that require travelling frequently, and one of them might be the right fit for you.

Don't wait until you're older and retired to decide to travel and see the world. Look into one of these amazing travel jobs that will feed your wanderlust while you work and earn money...

1. Cruise Ship Worker

Whether you're a performer, shop assistant, gym instructor or waiter, working on lavish floating resort is an absolute dream gig for true travel junkies like you. With this line of work, you literally get paid for travelling the world, with free accommodation and food!

2. Tour Guide

One of the best and most sought-after career options for people who love to travel is to become a tour guide. In this profession, you get to spend your days guiding fellow travel enthusiasts and tourists through quaint local villages or buzzing metropolises. Also, the competition in this line of work isn't bad since popular cities and travel destinations are in constant need of knowledgeable and friendly tour guides to lead tourists through cultural executions and beautiful sights.

If you're planning on pursuing this career path, just don't forget to research the culture and history of the destination of your choice. Also, make an effort to learn the local language.

3. Flight attendant

Not only is it the most obvious job related to travel, but the flight attendant is one of the most accessible ones too. As far as I know you, you don't need to have a specialised degree to become a certified flight attendant, and most airline companies would only require a certificate from the CAA as well as prior expertise within customer service.

4. Travel Writer/Blogger

Travel bloggers, to me, have the best jobs in the world. Not only do they get to travel often, but they also receive VIP treatments from hotels and resorts that are in hopes of a glowing review. Not to mention, they get plenty of freebies from airline companies and tour operators.

5. Travel Agent

As Google searches and travel comparison sights flourish, a lot of people now think that the services of actual travel agents are no longer needed. Although it's true that they need for this profession will continue to decline in the next few years, it's still a popular and rewarding job for anyone who has the travel bug. After all, travel agents are paid to visit the most sought-after destinations and get the first hand experience of a variety of resorts and restaurants, so they're able to give honest and helpful advice to their clients.

6. Bartender

Nightclubs, bars, and restaurants are located all over the world and the job description is more or less the same everywhere. Speaking the language will come in handy, so you may need to complete a few months of language classes. Touristy and sought-after destinations will be easier to find work opportunities, and there is no minimum or maximum time requirement. Also, the more experience you have under your belt as a bartender, the more opportunities for jobs will open up, with the potential to earn a higher income.

7. Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistants, traditionally, work from home as freelancers, doing administrative work for start-up companies and small businesses. The thing is, you don't need to stay at home to be a virtual assistant. With a reliable phone connection and wifi, you can practically work as a virtual assistant wherever you want.

8. English Teacher

One of the perks of speaking the worlds most popular language is that there are thousands of people in every corner who would pay you to teach them English. Teaching English abroad is one of the easiest ways to step out of your hometown and see the world. From South American to East Asian countries, there are a number of foreign countries that offer teaching positions to people who can speak fluent English.

9. Destination Wedding Photographer

The role of the photographer is very important when it comes to weddings. So, for the couples who opt for destination based wedding, the photographer they hire also travels with them to the decided location. All that you require is good photography skills and a high-quality camera to capture the precious moments of the wedding and get paid to stay in a beautiful location anywhere in the world with free accommodation, food and drinks.

10. Travelling Fitness Guru

Working as a travel fitness guru is one of the coolest and best travel jobs for people who are into fitness. You can teach lessons on yoga, pilates, Zumba, dance, or provide services as a personal trainer if you have enough job experience in any of these fields. Some gurus make deals with backpacker hostels or gyms, to use their fitness facilities with clients.

So, just pack your bags and get ready to go on a journey that you will never forget!
